Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft landed based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
