Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos announced on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
This update on his health comes as the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the star in the following the terrible crash.
