The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains substantial online following
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically told me to play and relax," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and has the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He advised me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in women's golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly reaching youth audiences.
Kai maintains millions of followers and recently launched a personal fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
