Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he could not remember "a single day without mirth".
"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.
He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist
In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.
Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.
"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

A court order issued a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.
The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
